Condition Standards

At Roy’s Cards, transparency is key and we follow the industry-standard TCGplayer guidelines so you know exactly what to expect when purchasing from us.

Look below for a more in-depth guide on how we condition our cards.

  • Near Mint (NM): Cards look clean with minimal handling. Only tiny imperfections like faint scratches or slight edgewear may be present. No bends, grime, or major flaws.

  • Lightly Played (LP): Cards may show small signs of play such as light scratches, minor bends, or slight surface wear. Still a great option for collectors who want quality at a lower price.

  • Moderately Played (MP): Noticeable wear from handling or play. Expect moderate scratches, bends, or scuffing, but the card is still fully sleeve/playable.

  • Heavily Played (HP): Cards show significant wear with heavy scratches, bends, or scuffing. Perfect for players who just need a budget copy to play with.

  • Damaged (DMG): Cards with heavy flaws such as tears, ink, water damage, or severe wear. These cards may not be tournament-legal but still hold collectible or casual play value
